It's not too early...

to get ready for fall!

Back to school time will be here soon and I am trying soooo hard to get ready for my new position as a PreK teacher, while still holding on to my love for Kindergarten.

I created this little fall themed math pack to kick off the year for Pre-K/Kinder kiddos.

It has 7 fall themed back to school math games to teach numbers 0-5 and 0-10.  I differentiated each activity based on the needs of your students at the start of the year.

It's on sale for only $3 for until Friday!  I will give it to the first 5 people to leave their email below.

Happy Wednesday!

Beginning Blends with QR Codes

This past year my cuties really enjoyed QR codes and searching the room for them to practice a concept we had been working on.

Here is my YouTube video I posted before of them searching for QR codes:

I created this product for conducting a QR codes hunt for beginning blends.

Click the pic above to grab it for only $2.

If you want a free copy TODAY ONLY, just leave your email below.  I will send it to everyone who leaves their email before midnight tonight!

Have a happy Wednesday!

Amazing Animals! Freebie Research Documents

Happy Monday!

A few weeks ago I posted about our animal projects here.  Many of you stated you would like the documents to help your cuties do research.  Here they are!

Click on the picture above to grab the freebie!

...and so much more!

Enjoy!

I already got some fabulous feedback on this product:

"Love this product. My students did an animal research paper this past year, but not near as detailed as this. I will use this next year! Thank you so much for sharing!!"

Ice Cream for Summer!!

On our next to last day of school we celebrated our year with an ice cream day!  It was oodles of fun!

We started our day by making ice cream CVCe cones.  Each student got an ice cream stencil, a die cut triangle, and a CVCe picture.  Students then traced and cut out four ice cream scoops and glued them to the cone.  The CVCe picture was glued to the cone and the letters needed to spell the word were written on each scoop.

We also created an anchor chart about ice cream and wrote adjectives that described it.

Then we created ice creams with more die cut triangles for cones and ice cream paint (shaving cream, glue, and red food coloring).  On the scoop, we added descriptive words for ice cream.

We also did a math survey asking if you preferred ice cream in a cup or a cone.

This survey is in my Survey Says pack.

We ended the day with an ice cream party!

By the way, I found those precious cups from Wal-mart for 87 cents!  They have the words "GRAD" and "2013" on them.  Perfect for the end of Kindergarten!

I am so sad this year is done.  This group of cuties were AMAZING!  I am also sad to be leaving kindergarten.  :(  I do hope I can return to kinder real soon.  It's all in God's hands and I am so excited about my new school!

Five for Friday

Happy Friday!  I decided to link up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for a Five for Friday!

Number 1:

This is my mom, my two aunts and my uncle Phillip.  My uncle Phillip was diagnosed with cancer recently and this week his job had a fund raiser to help pay for medical bills and they raised enough to pay them off!  Blessings from above!

                                                                 Number 2:

I learned that new Pete the Cat books are coming!!!

Number 3:

Here is a picture of the adorable plates my cuties and I made for our helper moms this year!  The plates were inspired by Erin Eberhart.

Number 4:

While digging through my memory trunk this week to find my graduation robes to wear for kindergarten graduation, I came across my third grade class photo.  I am in the front and center - dressed in bumble bee colors!  Who would have thought that 23 years later I would be teaching in my bee themed classroom.

Number 5:

My new school!  I accepted a PreK teaching position this week at this awesome campus.  I am so excited!!!  I have wanted to work at this campus in our district for years now and I am finally getting the chance.  I won't be in kinder next year, but I definitely hope to return to kinder real soon.  I will still have my blog and the posts will still be helpful for many kinder ideas.

Have a happy weekend!
